Hello, I'm Alyssa
Alyssa Chriqui is an internationally acclaimed salsa dancer and choreographer with over 25 years of experience. Her illustrious career includes being a Top 20 dancer on Israel’s dance television series ‘RAK ROTZIM LIRKOD’ on KESHET – Teddy Hafakot, and winning prestigious titles such as the 2019 World Samba & Salsa Champion in Hong Kong. Alyssa has also been a finalist and runner-up in numerous world competitions, consistently showcasing her exceptional talent on the global stage.
Alyssa’s dance journey began with rigorous training in a variety of styles, including ballet, contemporary, hip hop, and Latin dance forms. Her dedication and expertise have established her as a respected figure in the dance community, known not only as a performer but also as a choreographer and teacher. Representing Israel and Australia in international competitions, Alyssa has earned accolades for her technical precision, expressive choreography, and captivating performances.
Beyond the competition floor, Alyssa has made her mark as the creative director, choreographer, and principal performer for the professional cabaret company Champagne n’ Lace. She also danced on the 2024 Dancing with the Stars series. Her international recognition has led her to teach workshops and perform at Latin congresses around the world. Additionally, she has worked as a commercial dancer on various television series, corporate events, and music videos for Israel’s top artists, including Shlomi Shabbat, Eyal Golan, Eden Ben Zaken, Rotem Cohen, Moshe Peretz, and many more. She has also served as a backup dancer for these artists in stage shows.
Currently, Alyssa is the Director and owner of her own dance academy, which offers a comprehensive schedule of Latin classes, including salsa, Brazilian samba, flamenco, cha-cha, rumba, jive, and samba. Her school is renowned as the top technical academy for ladies’ solo Latin dancing, with performance teams, boot camps, and specialized training for national and international competitions.
Alyssa’s teaching philosophy is rooted in her belief that dance is one of the most natural instincts. She focuses on helping students connect with this innate ability, combining precise technique with personal style to bring out the best in every dancer. Her online classes offer a unique opportunity to learn from a world champion, providing a structured and supportive environment where students of all levels can thrive.
